With Springfield legislation and the so-called Safe-T Act, I would support local safety ordinances and apprenticeships for individuals hoping to become police officers in Arlington Heights given the six vacancies of police officers.
Supporting the Fire Department with a fifth ambulance to handle the increased number of EMS calls (11,000 calls per year)
Maintenance of storm water systems for our 260 miles of underground water mains at 1% a year
Maximizing the Internet Sales Tax and the 12% portion of tax bill levied to Village
Move forward as long as it makes sense for residents

One of my favorite things about Arlington Heights is the wonderful variety of restaurants that we have here. Until March 9, 25 Arlington Heights restaurants are participating in Restaurant Week sponsored by @meetchicagonw and many of them are offering specials. Be sure to check it out!
I feel strongly that local businesses like these are a big part of making Arlington Heights not just a great place to live, but also a destination city. Listening to the needs of business owners is one of the best ways we can ensure that Arlington Heights continues to grow and flourish.

Come hear Michele and other candidates at this forum run by the League of Women Voters. From 6 pm to 7 pm, there is a forum with candidates for Arlington Heights mayor. A 20-minute intermission follows.
From 7:20 pm to 9 pm, Michele will participate in a forum featuring all of the candidates for the Arlington Heights village board.
(Please note: the LWV scheduled a separate event on March 2nd with candidates for the township trustees and the AH library trustees.)
Michele will be with the other candidates at a forum sponsored by the Historic Arlington Neighborhood Association (HANA) on March 18.
